Painting and Birding Adventure 
Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuge
May 16-17-18

Hi,  This Spring I am organizing a painting and birding trip to Lower Klamth National Wildlife Refuge.
We will be going for three nights, last year we all thought we did not have enough time to paint.  We will be going back to the lovely Painting studio in the Bear Valley as we did last time.
You may choose to stay the first 2 nights or all three nights, if you wish.
Spring is lovely time to see a different variety of birds in colorful mating plumage, witness courtship rituals, nesting, and young.

Day 1
Birding: 
The focus of this day in to tour the Lower Klamath Bird refuge, photograph and do quick sketches. We'll make frequent stops on the tour route to identify and enjoy the birds.

Our accommodations for the next three nights will be at a beautiful retreat center on a 50 acre property bordered by BLM wilderness for hiking and birding.

We will have the use of the beautiful studio as well with light from four directions and above, over looking the Bear valley.

Day 2 -3
Painting:

We will spend our second and third day painting from our sketches and photos, and doing more birding in the area.  Goly will do demonstrations, and share techniques and suggestions, for each artist to achieve a unified composition and create an engaging image, The goal is to stay true to personal style and vision while learning fun and new techniques.

Teaching Background:
Goly is an award winning artist, and a retired art teacher with many years of  teaching and organizing art workshops.

What to bring:
Binoculars, Cameras, Sketching and Painting materials, guitars and ukuleles if you wish.
Please plan your own breakfast and lunch.
Dinner will be a coordinate shared meal.

Cost: We'll share the cost of the house. Maximum participants 6.  At this point I don't know the exact cost person for lodging. but it will be quite reasonable. I'd say around 35-40  per person per night.
Painting Instruction: $100 for all three days, per person.

Deposit of $50 is needed to hold your space.
